The annual festival starts from 18 this month to 18 May. The festive last
year focused on the Runyang Bridge, which connects Yangzhou and
neighboring city Zhenjiang, and the city's status as one of China's most
comfortable living cities.

A total of 3,500 guests from all over the world grace the festival in the
city of prosperity and beautiful scenery last year.

According to local leaders, "this year's economic and trade festival is
different from that of other years", adding that the local government
attaches more importance to investment, infrastructure construction and
local citizens' living environments.

This year culture, living environment and the canal will be used as three
brands to boost the festival's competitiveness in an effort to lure more
investment for the further development of the city.
