Situational Conversation

(Here is a man seeing a doctor at the internal medicine department.)

Nǐ zěnme bù shūfu

医生:你 怎么 不 舒服?

How do you feel?

Cóng jīntiān zǎoshang kāishǐwǒ fā shāotóu téngǒutù

男士:从 今天 早上 开始, 我 发 烧头 疼呕吐

Since this morning, I’ve had a fever, headache and vomiting.

Lā dùzi ma?

医生:拉 肚子 吗?

Any diarrhea?

Bù lā dùzi

男士:不 拉 肚子。

No, none.

Dùzi téng ma

医生:肚子 疼 吗?

Do you have a stomachache?

Dùzi bù téng

男士:肚子 不 疼。

No, I don’t.

Nǐ shēntǐ yǎng ma

医生:你 身体 吗?

Does your body itch?

Bù yǎng

男士:不 痒。

No, it doesn’t.

Nǐ déle gǎnmàoHuíqu chī yàozhùyì duō hē shuǐduō xiūxi

医生:你 得了 感冒。 回去 吃 药, 注意 多 喝 水, 多 休息。

You have a cold. Take some medicine when you get back home, and be sure to drink plenty of water
and get more rest.
