Lao Zi statue made of carbonized wood

A statue of Lao Zi, the famous Chinese Taoism philosopher, was put on
display in Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province. The Statue is carved a whole piece
of carbonized wood, a kind of wood fossil. The pictures were taken on
July 24, 2007.
