Stock market value exceeds domestic deposit balance in China

Chinanews, Shanghai, May 18 - According to Shanghai Securities Journal,
the total market value of Shenzhen and Shanghai stock markets has
exceeded China's domestic deposit balance. Stock market has become one of
the most important means of wealth accumulation.
Currently, the total market value of the two stock markets amounts to
17.43 trillion yuan (13.49 trillion yuan of Shanghai stock market and
3.94 trillion yuan of Shenzhen stock market), while the total domestic
deposit balance is only 17.37 trillion yuan.
The profitable stock market has attracted many Chinese to invest their
savings on stock shares.

��Stock market will remain bullish in 2007, but with greater risks
